Welcome to the first post from the Hoover IMC. We are reading Santa's Favorite Story by Aoki, and Santa's Secret Helper by Clements in the primary grades. In the upper grades we are recommending The Polar Express by Van Allsburg, The Best (Worst) Christmas Pageant Ever by Robinson, and, of course, The Christmas Carol by Dickens. The younger children are using media time in the IMC to experience literature through e-books on Tumblebooks, Storyline Online and Raz-Kids. The older children in fourth and fifth grade are designing power point presentations about themselves to learn about designing power point presentations. All children had the opportunity to check out new books in order to have material for reading over their Christmas holiday.
